As a photographer, there’s something very special about capturing a moment in time…a moment that will never come again in exactly the same way. That realization has always been a great source of motivation, inspiration, and satisfaction for me. In fact, it’s what first drew me to photography nearly 25 years ago.

Still, it’s the realization that I can have a positive and lasting impact on people’s lives that keeps me pursuing this passion. It is extremely gratifying to know that these “reflections of life” will be displayed on your walls, shared with your relatives, and become part of your family history. I already see this taking place in my own life. I have images of my four children that I know will always be a part of our family. (And, maybe best of all, the pictures don’t talk back or leave their clothes on the floor.)

When you hire me, you’re deciding to work with a photographer who is also a father and husband, a brother and friend. It’s these relationships—and the experiences that come from these relationships—that give me a fuller appreciation of the wonderful opportunity I have to help you create memories of the people who mean the most to you.

To me, great portrait photography isn't about lights, lenses, and shutter speeds. The most meaningful photos come about when the person behind the camera connects with the person in front of the camera.

Whether you’re hiring me for a portrait, a book cover, or an event, my goals are simple:
  • To work with you—not for you.
  • To provide you with an experience that is both enjoyable and rewarding.
  • To create images that become part of your history.
